THE amount of publicity currently in the press maligning foxes makes one aware the ground is being prepared for an oncoming Private Member’s Bill to restore hunting with dogs.
It’s a known fact that the Tory Party is committed to repealing the present hunting ban despite the most people objecting to the cruelty involved.
There will certainly be no dilly-dallying over the matter, unlike the time it took the New Labour clique to produce a dog’s dinner of a Bill curtailing only some of the cruelty. It’s more than likely the ban will be repealed in time for January 1.
Continuing widespread urbanisation of our countryside is largely responsible for any wildlife in our midst, but this shouldn’t be a pretext to allow a dastardly so-called country sport to be revived.
