I WOULD like to make it clear to Kev McStravick (HAS, Sept 27) that I have never suggested that the US “deserved the massacre of 2,997 innocent victims” and neither has Feisal Abdul Rauf, chairman of the Cordoba Initiative which is behind plans to build a Muslim community centre near the Ground Zero site.
As I have said on many occasions, there can never be any justification or excuse for such an atrocity.
