CATS are going missing in the Honeypot Road area of Brompton-on-Swale, near Richmond. I myself have lost four in the past two years.
My first cat to go missing was Opal, a tortoiseshell, who disappeared on February 1, 2008.
Next was Willow, a tabby, who disappeared on May 12, 2009. The third was George, another tabby, who went missing on October 17, 2009 and Jasper, a ginger cat, was lost on January 16, this year.
One cat going missing without a trace is a bit unusual; two even more unusual, but four just doesn’t happen – unless, of course, someone is deliberately harming cats in the area.
I have contacted the RSPCA and all the animal rescue centres covering Brompton-on-Swale and have given them details. However, none of the rescue centres has heard anything about them.
I have even reported all four disappearances to the police and they agree something seems wrong.
To save any more of my cats going missing they will be kept inside as house cats. Should anyone have any information regarding my cats, please contact me – on 01748-812472 – as not knowing what happened to them is unbearable.
Mrs Lynne Adams, Brompton-on-Swale, Richmond.
