THE UK Youth Parliament and BT are inviting young readers from the North-East and North Yorkshire to enter this year’s Seen & Heard awards, which recognise the positive differences young people can make in today’s society.

We’re looking for inspiring young people from around the world who’ve made a real difference to their own lives and those of others by getting their voices heard about the issues that matter to them.

Award winners will be invited to attend a Seen & Heard ceremony to meet other young people and hear about their projects. They’ll also get the chance to tell their story through the 2009 Seen & Heard report which will be seen by young people, MPs and decision-makers around the world.

Find out more about the awards and read stories from last year’s winners by visiting the BT Better World Campaign website at btbetterworld.com or by emailing seenandheard@bt.com The closing date for entries is November 6.
