IN 1939 I passed my exam and went to AJ Dawson Secondary School at Wellfield. Now I am assured by everybody I speak to that I am wrong, because it was A J Dawson Grammar School before and during the Second World War. I think it became a grammar school during comprehensive education after the war. Can anyone help?
