IS columnist Peter Mullen not being paid under false pretences?
He seems able to repeat the same material week after week.
How many times have we been told that climate change is a great deceit or a monstrous lie (Echo, Dec 9).
Is he not merely following the theory of Goebbels, the Nazi spin doctor, that if he repeats a falsehood enough times, people will believe him?
He repeats it endlessly, never offering any evidence as to his claims. Why should we take notice of him, a Church of England vicar, and a very conservative one, rather than the thousands of scientists who have studied all aspects of the problem in depth?
Perhaps he thinks “I am Peter and I know” is all that needs to be said? Maybe so in the church, but not in the real world.
