IT is everyone's right, whether private or commercial, to see evidence of employers' liability insurance prior to any work being started. This kind of insurance is mostly done by specialist companies as most occupations are deemed high-risk.
I am self-employed with one employee and my combined insurance (public/employers' liability) is more than £800. If I cancel, I lose all monies.
To employ someone would cost me a further £600 per person. This is why employers will take a chance on not being insured.
I wish I could sit back and let some search engine sort out my insurance for me.
