I WAS shocked to see local heroes Ant and Dec poke fun at a regional institution last Saturday - namely Northern Rock.
Over the years, Northern Rock has helped many local charities and we should be supporting it where we can by opening an account, leaving your money in there or not watching Ant and Dec's next TV show as way of protest.
I am not a Northern Rock account holder, but someone who appreciates the good that it does for local charities.
It's odd when two local boys "done good" can do something like that to a local firm which has assisted so many local charities. I'd not be surprised if they had relatives who actually work for the Rock - wonder how they feel right now?
