FORMER Scottish international footballer Kenny Burns, writing in the Nottingham Post, has said that he was "very, very surprised" at how dirty Middlesbrough were in their game against Nottingham Forest (EchoSport, Oct 10).
As a former Forest player who was a fierce competitor on the field and who was described by Brian Clough as being a tough Scot capable of cutting you in two, Mr Burns must have either mellowed in his old age or, as I prefer to think, it's a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
