THE Echo’s report of “Millions of litres of water are lost” (Aug 6) is enough to drive one to despair.

This tremendous leakage of water was reported on April 28 and to date nothing has yet been done about repairing the leak.

If the leak has been confirmed as being on the premises of the Frenchgate Hotel surely it is only sensible that Yorkshire Water be allowed to fix it.

The consent of the hotel owner should be a formality. Let’s get it sorted out – not only for the saving of water but for the peace of mind of householders Dave Dalton and Julie Martin.

I hope the Echo will follow this story through to its conclusion.
