THE Government is in such a state regarding Brexit that Justine Greening’s suggestion of a second referendum is the only answer.

It is obvious that the first referendum should be regarded as null and void, since the Leave campaign has committed many illegal actions regarding its financial operations.

A parliamentary election result would have been annulled in the same circumstances and the election rerun.

We now have a clearer picture of the outcome of the referendum.

Staying in the EU with all its many imperfections is one option, which is generally the position held by manufacturing industry mindful of all the complications leaving would have on cross channel trade.

The service industry is already moving much of its business into Europe.

The Leave campaign, will be without its £350m per week coming back from Europe, and its imaginary world-wide trade deals.

Do we really want to be relying on Donald Trump, a man who pours scorn on the United Nations, NATO, and the EU, and is basically an isolationist rather than a co-operationist.

It is noticeable that Leavers like Jacob Rees-Mogg have no connection with manufacturing and are simply investors wherever there is money to be made.
