WHAT an excellent letter from Cllr Norman Hughes of Seaham about how soft prison is becoming (HAS, Jul 11).
I agree wholeheartedly with everything he said and would just go a little farther and say the full sentence should be carried out in all cases with no remission for good behaviour.
Surely good behaviour should be the norm.
Time, however, should be added on for bad behaviour, and visiting should not be allowed.
