THERE’S no Joe Hart, Ashley Cole, Frank Lampard, Steven Gerrard or Wayne Rooney, for obvious reasons, but it seems that we currently have no superstars in the England team.
Gareth Southgate has selected a youthful squad, it has ignited immense pride in the national side again.
No sulking, no egos and no divide anymore.
Thankfully, the days of being a name no longer gets you in an England team and you are chosen on merit, which is how it should be.
Come on you young lions, bring that World Cup back home and make yourselves bigger stars than the players mentioned above and pick up a winner’s medal in Moscow.
They have united the country, at a time when England needed to smile again, and that to me, will always be something very special. Come on England!
