I WAS sad to read that ‘Binns’ was closing its doors.
I personally have so many happy memories having been their first apprentice hairdresser and worked on the top floor – very posh indeed.
Black and white marble cubicles and we wore white trimmed with black. The restaurant was just yards away with a lovely 3 piece orchestra playing relaxing music.
There were models from the clothes department parading beautiful clothes, jewellery and shoes.
Truly elegant and how different everything has become. I have really good memories of my home town and just a few friends left – we’ve seen the good days when people mattered and cared.
Hey ho – what now? It can only get better?
