AS there have been so many front pages devoted to him, Mayor Ben Houchen must be the most recognised face in the whole of the Tees Valley.
Whether any of these developments and jobs will ever see fruition only time will tell. The Mayor has announced so many new projects he’s starting to forget about the old ones.
Whatever happened to last year’s announcement for the Middlesbrough Centre Square redevelopment? 1,500 jobs predicted for luxury office space to cater for the white collar boom.
In February this year an energy plant of huge national importance was due to be announced and with it the creation of thousands of jobs. Still waiting. .
They say an elephant never forgets, but someone at Tees Valley certainly has.
