IT’S a foregone conclusion and a form of perverted delusion. Why do artists even consider taking part in this farce, this comedy of errors, the biggest being taking part in it?
The Eurovision Song Contest is just another way of ridiculing the UK and its contestants.
We are despised by the EU to begin with, stop rubbing salt in by taking part in this Simon Cowell equivalent of despicable humiliation of its performers.
What does it do to people’s esteem when before you
even take part you know you’re doomed to failure
like the fat lad taking part
in school cross country
just to amuse the warped PE teachers sense, well lack of, sense of humour.
We already know that our singers are amongst the best in the world but even if we entered The Beatles at their prime we would be lucky if they received enough votes to get voted on the committee at Chilton Club, (oh and by the way the club gets far better turns on).
It is as out of date and place as Love Thy Neighbour would be in today’s times of political correctness.
