YOUR Saturday paper (Echo, Jan 6) carried an article by Dr Paul Williams, the Stockton South MP, on the crisis in the Health Service.

In addition to under-funding he draws attention to the effect Brexit is having on the NHS due to the loss of staff and recruitment of European Union nationals.

He also comments on the fact that the electorate were deliberately mislead by the pro-Brexiteers with a promise of an extra £250m per week for the NHS.

Why then is the Labour Party not supporting the call for a second referendum when the negotiations are concluded and before they are signed off?

Is it because Jeremy Corbyn is and always has been anti the EU and he is putting his personal views before the will of the people?
