MIDDLESTONE Moor Workingmen's Club, Spennymoor, held a charity evening on Saturday, July 14, in aid of motor neurone disease funds. It was a good turnout and I would like to say a big thank you to everyone concerned and for the money raised by members and guests alike, and for their kind donations.
I would also like to say a thank you to all those who participated in the sponsored walk on Sunday, June 25, and to Jim Nutt, who gave up his time to lead the walk, as well as to Spennymoor Town Council for the use of the pavilion facilities in Jubilee Park.
All money raised from these events was gratefully received and will be forwarded to the Motor Neurone Disease Association to help in, one day, finding a cure for this devastating disease. Well done everyone. And thanks again.
