“GARDEN village” indeed! It’s a bloody town! This is a monstrous development to be stuck on the outside of Darlington like a carbuncle.
The developers, Theakston Estates, are all about making money. No doubt the offer of this and that will be put on the table and the financially-starved Darlington councillors will greedily grab whatever they can.
But Theakston’s promises are like pie crusts and amount to diddly squat. There are thousands of houses for sale in and around Darlington.
