PETE Winstanley makes some very good points in his letter headed “Terrorism” (HAS, Aug 18). He quite rightly defends the majority of peaceful Muslims over the minority who commit acts of violence.
However he cannot blame people for being a little suspicious as we do not know how big the minority is.
Is Pete able to enlighten us as to the approximate number?
Regretfully the enemies of the United Kingdom do not have two heads and mix into a crowd of people very easily.
Violence against the Muslim population and damage to their buildings by members of the public should not be tolerated, but suspicions reported to the appropriate authorities.
