Ada Burns, chief executive of Darlington Borough Council
I WAS appalled to read that the Darlington council chief executive is paid more than the Prime Minister (HAS, July 14).
Given that the authority was recently fined by the Department for Education, I fail to see why a failing authority is led by a failure.
I’d like to see a campaign to reduce this massive salary; I’d be happy to disband Darlington council and return to Durham County Council.
