I WAS reading Sharon Griffiths’ page on Friday, which I enjoy, and thought how unfair life is (Echo, May 19).

There was Pippa Middleton’s wedding costing a fortune and then that stupid lad Wayne Rooney wasting thousands on gambling.

But most days we see some poor parents asking for a donation because their child has cancer and needs treatment in another country.

That treatment should be available in England but we give millions abroad when that money should be spent on the NHS.

Surely when we stop giving all those millions to the EU, just a little of it could be spent on hospitals.

Health really does come first.
