PETER MULLEN exhibits once again his national chauvinism this time about immigrants to UK (Echo, July 25).

These are workers who take jobs and contribute to our economy and make our country more interesting and varied than it would otherwise be.

He asks how to cope with the increase in school populations and does not answer the question with the answer to cope with it. If it means we pay money in taxation or spend the money on what matters rather than some choices the Government makes so be it.

Peter has never complained about the inequalities and lack of fairness in how affairs are run.

He bandies about with statistics but has nothing to say about making this country of ours a better one to live in.

He comes over to me as just a stick-in-the-mud - an old-fashioned Tory.
