FOLLOWING the recent tragic bus accident in the town centre resulting in loss of life I offer a potential solution.
Create a small centrally located bus station where users can walk a short distance to the centre of town.
The deserted ex Allied Carpet site in Russell Street would be an ideal location where the station could be small and modelled on that of Durham City.
Transport disruption also would be minimised at this location.
