I HAVE campaigned with Durham County Council on environmental issues and thank the staff for prompt action.
While sitting on the Sedgefield Borough Council Environmental Committee, it was agreed to try to do all the horticultural work in one go - to cut the grass, cultivate the shrub beds and strim the edges for the maximum environmental impact.
I have asked DCC officers to incorporate this practice.
I have also contacted Livin, to ask them to spruce up the area opposite Home Bargains, in Spennymoor, which is part of the King William Grange area.
Finally, the area around the Post Office to the Co-Op is full of litter on most occasions. This is not acceptable and needs clearing up on a regular basis.
Ben Ord, Spennymoor
