FRENCH workers are rioting because of purposed cuts to their rights by the French government (Echo, May 27).
Meanwhile in County Durham teaching assistants are being sacked en mass and offered re-employment on worse terms and conditions simply to retain their jobs.
I thought the main argument for staying in the European Union was the protection of workers’ rights?
Operation Fear strikes again.
