IF Jennifer White (HAS, May 25) succeeds in her mission to turn everyone vegetarian, then there will be no sheep or cows in the fields.
Nor any spring lambs, which are a joy to see gambolling in the fields.
There would be no need for farmers to breed these animals, and farms would go out of business.
Ultimately our beautiful countryside owes its existence to our farmers who look after it, and we need to remember that.
