IN reply to Christopher Wardell's letter about rubbish collections (HAS, May 9). I am a resident in the Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council district and we have had fortnightly collections for quite a while now.
We get the household rubbish, also plastic and cardboard, collected one week and garden refuse plus newspapers and glass bottles the second week.
I have never had any problems with pests or smells. We have wheelie bins and not plastic bags.
Unfortunately, I have never had to dress in a "frogman's outfit", much to the disappointment of my husband?
