REGARDING the flood of refugees coming to Europe, I say “no”.
To the people who want to welcome them I say: "If you want these immigrants in our country, or your home, well get on with it – I don’t."
Women, children and the elderly most definitely deserve our assistance and compassion but when you see young fit single men, who would be far better fighting to regain their country instead of running away to ours, that’s another thing.
We lost two generations of young men in two world wars to give us the freedom we have today, only for some parliamentary do-gooders to open our doors to any Tom, Dick or Harry is beyond sanity.
If you want to let these immigrants in I hope you have a big enough house, because they ain’t moving into mine.
John Cumberland, Rushyford
