POLLS taken in the US would seem to suggest that the majority of its citizens want their troops brought out of Iraq. The government of the US, the democratically-elected Senate and Congress, in effect say the same thing. The troops should be brought back.
One man, President George Bush, uses his veto to keep the troops in Iraq.
One of his reasons for them being there is so that the citizens of Iraq can benefit from being in a democracy. As Terry Wogan would say "Is it me?"
