SOMETIMES it can be surprising how a feel good factor arises from an unfortunate incident.
On Wednesday, June 24, I was returning to my car after taking my lovely granddaughter to school, Sedgefield Hardwick. Unfortunately my car was swiped by another and the driver was apparently unaware.
The feel good factor arose from the prompt response of sympathy and help from other people, particular appreciation goes to the man who agreed to give witness evidence if required and the young man who took photos to show I was correctly parked.
In this age of “best not get involved”, their action was admirable, completely obliterating my previous feeling of disappointment.
If in time I should be reimbursed the cost of repair, I will donate it to the school funds as a gesture of appreciation to the gentlemen concerned.
John Nicholls, Sedgefield.
