YOUR comment, "The dangers of DIY justice" (Echo, Mar 27) is correct to point out the dangers of what the Dark Justice group is all about, but can we go on ignoring an evil that the lawmakers of this country are failing to address?
Potential paedophiles are neither interested in the law of the land nor the feelings of the families they hurt.
Their crimes are vile and cannot be justified, nor can the lawmakers excuse their failure to act time after time.
The first priority is the children and their protection and excuses by the lawmakers are of no consequence to the majority of citizens.
It is time that British law and not that of law courts elsewhere was applied.
The man Dark Justice helped to convict has just received a year in prison, and he will be free in a few months to do it again. Does that make sense?
Let’s stop making excuses.
John Young, Wolsingham.
