I READ with disgust about six-year-old Nathan Dodd`s injuries following a hit-and-run accident in West Park, Darlington (Echo, March 9).
My sympathies are also with his parents, who I feel are justified in their criticism of the way police handled this incident.
To say they would not be investigating because a cyclist was involved – and not a motor vehicle - is beyond belief.
As the cyclist was breaking the law by riding on a pavement surely a criminal offence was committed?
Does this now mean that cyclists are officially above the law?
