WHAT has happened to this once green and pleasant land?
Recently, we were on a walk with Age UK around the outskirts of Darlington and the amount of rubbish that was dumped in the hedgerows or just at the side of the road disgusted me.
We saw plastic bottles, beer cans, builders' rubble and even a dead fox thrown on a pile of broken tiles.
I feel sorry for my grandkids by the time they grow up all the green fields will be covered by houses - or rubbish.
G Wright, Sadberge.
