WHILE in Scarborough on a short hotel break, I had a medical problem which required an ambulance call-out at 7.30am. A fast response team arrived within four minutes and an ambulance arrived within six.
Having carried out their tests, it was decided to take me to Scarborough A&E. I was taken by two young (under 25-years-old) ambulance personnel who were very caring and professional at all times.
On arrival at A&E I was seen at once and examined by two doctors and a consultant, and sent for an X-ray. It was decided to keep me in hospital. I was transferred to Ash ward, where I spent 24 hours.
This letter is to thank everybody for the cheerful and truly professional treatment I received at all levels.
Thank heavens for our truly great National Health Service and its staff.
Michael Drew, Sowerby, Thirsk.
