River safety
I WHOLEHEARTEDLY agree with the letters from Alan Madrell and Irving Hollingsworths (HAS, Feb 13) about river safety.
The River Wear is not the problem because the people of Durham City live with it safely.
The parents of students who drink too much alcohol should be more concerned about how it will affect their brains and their studies, rather than trying to alter the city and the river.
