I’M not a Ukip supporter – far from it. However, I must agree with Ukip candidate Mandy Boylett in her comments about Alex Cunningham (HAS, Nov 2) and his stance on Zac Goldsmith’s amendments to the Recall Bill. I am one of Mr Cunningham’s constituents who was ignored.

That is why the electorate are being turned off politics – we are just being ignored.

You would have thought that after the expenses scandal, MPs would have got the message, but not a bit of it. They now want to police themselves with the Recall Bill. How will MPs ever be held to account? Perhaps at the general election next year we will choose to ignore them.
