I WOULD think quite a few readers had an ironic chuckle at the picture of this year’s Edenbridge Bonfire Society’s choice for their Bonfire Night Guy (Echo, Nov 6).
The guy is former European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso, with one hand holding a demand for £1.7 billion, and the other gagging a British bulldog. He will be burned at the stake during their celebrations in Kent. If only . . .
