NEWCASTLE Airport is a local success story going from strength-to-strength.
Then there is the foolishlynamed Durham Tees Valley Airport (formally Teesside Airport). Obviously renamed by someone with visions of grandeur thinking it would put it up there with the likes of London Heathrow or London Gatwick, why not start the rescue plan by giving it a sensible name that everyone can remember. You know, one that rolls of the tongue, like Teesside Airport?
