DR NASAR MEER of Northumbria University tries to persuade us that we have an obligation to accept and “integrate” Muslims in Britain (Echo, Dec 7).
He doesn’t mention the fact that it’s virtually impossible for anyone to become a citizen of Saudi Arabia (apart from those born there).
He also keeps very quiet about the regular bombings of Christian churches in Nigeria by Muslims or the blowing up of the 6th Century Buddha statue in Afghanistan by Muslims.
And then there is the nonexistent respect for other cultures shown by those Muslims who murder the cartoonists and authors they don’t like.
Personally I judge people by what they do, not by what they say. So any lectures on the subject of “integration” coming from Muslims or their supporters I take with a very large pinch of salt.
