SYNERGY is one of those management- speak buzzwords, flung around in meetings with little heed to its actual meaning. Literally, it refers to something being greater than the sum of its parts, in which case there’s really no better example than 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Originally no more than a one-off “mash-up”, it proved monumentally popular, and is arguably more entertaining than either of its parent shows.
Now its latest short run draws to a close, with Kevin Bridges and James Corden joining team captains Sean Lock and Jon Richardson.
Actor, writer, comedian, voice artist and director Peter Serafinowicz sits alongside Susie Dent in Dictionary Corner, while Joe Wilkinson again turns up to “help” maths whizz Rachel Riley.
