THE Barnard Castle branch of Citizens Advice County Durham has helped more than 400 people since it opened its new office six months ago.
Advisors are available on Mondays and Wednesdays from 10am till 4pm to provide open session advice in Woodleigh, Flatts Road, Barnard Castle.
The service is free, impartial and confidential and works as a drop-in.
Common issues advisors can help include financial issues, benefits, family matters, housing, employment, housing, consumer issues, discrimination, immigration and tax.
There are also specialists in debt management.
