A SCHOOLGIRL whose disappearance sparked a major ten-day search less than two months ago has gone missing again from home.

Morgan Thomson, of Newton Aycliffe, County Durham, was located safe and well in London following the police investigation in October.

But to her mother's despair, the 16-year-old appears to have fled for a second time.

Mother-of-two Becci Spry told The Northern Echo: "She's been back and I was hoping everything was put in place. She's totally out of the blue got up and gone – despite help from everybody.

"I woke up (on Monday) to her uniform here and she was due to be at school. That's all I know. Now I don't have anything left."

A family member, who did not wish to be named, said Morgan was seen in the family home at around 7am on Monday but did not get on the bus to go to school in Bishop Auckland.

The St John's School and Sixth Form College pupil is understood to have received a call on Sunday night which her family have speculated might be related to her disappearance.

"Someone rang and asked for Morgan," added the family member. "We don't know if it was a signal."

In October Ms Spry believed her daughter had travelled to London to be with her boyfriend.

This time the distraught mother, who suffers from medical problems including a rare neurological condition, said she had no clue as to where Morgan could be.

"We have no idea at all (where Morgan is)," said the family member.

"We don't know where to go. Before she (Ms Spry) was very proactive but she can't be now.

"We are just waiting to see what the police have got and what their next steps are."

Durham Police are appealing for help in tracking down the missing teenager.

She is described as 5ft 4in tall, of slim build with very long light brown/blonde hair.

Morgan is possibly wearing a white top, black trousers, a pink waist length coat with fur around the hood and brand new white Nike Air Max trainers.

She also has a grey shoulder bag in her possession.
