AN 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a firework was thrown through the window of a family home in Redcar.
The incident happened at around 9.50pm on Monday, October 31, at a property on Kirkleatham Lane.
A man, woman and teenage boy had to flee the address after a front room window was smashed and a large firework was ignited and thrown inside, starting a fire.
Cleveland Fire Brigade were called to the address and fortunately no one was injured as a result.
The man was released on bail pending further enquiries.
A second man, aged 30, who was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit arson also remains on bail pending further enquiries.
