A MIDDLESBROUGH nightclub has pulled off a massive coup after signing up superstar DJ Norman Cook.
Tickets for the gig at The Empire in December go on sale at 9am on Friday morning (October 4).
The one-time Housemartin, who is probably better known as Fat Boy Slim, chose the venue as one of only eight he will be playing on his forthcoming tour.
Cook’s says his new show involves playing his own brand of ‘party acid house’ alongside a complex audio-visual extravaganza.
“I’m technically a video jockey now,” he said. “We write scripts for all the tunes and make films. It’s a show.”
Ashley Wem, managing director at The Empire said: “We’ve had our fair share of big name DJs over the years – David Guetta, Justice, Sasha, Tiesto, Swedish House Mafia, Carl Cox, Paul Oakenfold, Roger Sanchez, the list is endless – but this pretty much tops the lot.”
Tickets for the gig on Thursday, December 12, go on sale at 9am on Friday from The Empire by calling 01642-253 553, Middlesbrough Town Hall, Changes and Yakuza clothes shops in Middlesbrough, and online at www.ticketweb.co.uk
