Forget the Olympics and the Paralympics, the World Black Pudding Throwing Championships have taken centre-stage.
The competition was held in the northern English village of Ramsbottom, near Manchester. Each contestant had three chances to knock as many Yorkshire puddings off a plinth as possible by throwing black pudding at them.
Gavin Ogden, 50, took the title by knocking down three puddings.
