COUNCIL gardeners responsible for the grass verges outside mansions owned by some of Britain's top footballers have been ordered to stop using strimmers over fears that stones will damage posh cars or damage expensive property.
Cheshire East Council, which covers the exclusive area where the likes of Wayne Rooney and Yaya Toure live, have told their workmen to use weed killer instead, citing health and safety.
