Spectators at a cricket match were delighted when a seagull which had been given up for dead after being hit on the head with a cricket ball "came back to life".
Players had laid the bird to rest near the boundary after it was hit during a 20-20 match in Melbourne but the crowd cheered when it suddenly got to its feet then flew off.
It is understood to be none the worse, apart from nursing a whopping headache.
