THERE are delays of up to two hours on Virgin Trains East Coast and Grand Central trains between Grantham and Doncaster due to overhead line problems at Newark North Gate.
A spokesman for National Rail said: "Earlier today, a tree fell on to the overhead wires near Newark North Gate. In order to remove it, power to the lines had to be switched off meaning trains could not run from Grantham towards Doncaster.
"The tree has now been removed and trains are once again able to run. Delays of up to two hours are expected while services return to normal.
"Disruption is expected to continue until 8pm."
