CHILDREN can win a rail trip for their whole class by drawing a happy journey.
Train operator East Coast is inviting children aged five to 11 to design a train representing a happy journey to celebrate the fifth anniversary of its foundation.
The winner will get a trip on the East Coast route for their whole school class while their design will also be turned into a model, which will be auctioned to raise money for the Railway Children charity.
Two runners-up will get a first class ticket for a family of four to travel anywhere on the firm’s route.
East Coast managing director Karen Boswell said: “We can’t wait to see what youngsters come up with.”
The contest will be judged by Mister Maker from CBeebies and children’s author Judith Kerr.
Entries should be emailed to eastcoasthappyjourneys@theproffice.com or posted to: East Coast Happy Journeys Competition, c/o The PR Office, 720 Highgate Road, London, NW5 1TL.
